Insta-Trim Boat Leveler 12727A Hydraulic Cylinder W/Hose.
Replacement trim cylinder for Boat Leveler Trim Tab systems. Our hydraulic cylinders are made of glass filled impact resistant nylon which eliminates expansion from hydraulic pressure and water absorption, and enable them to resist ultra violet rays. The two expanding type seals, plus an o-ring, eliminates low and high pressure leaks. The tubular steel insert in the cylinder fitting prevents breakage due to logs, ice, or any other objects. Swivel type brackets on both ends enable the cylinders to be mounted on any angle including 90 degrees, requiring no blocking or shimming for transoms which are not perpendicular to the bottom of the boat.
Simple nylon cylinder pins mounted to the top and bottom of the cylinder, are designed to act as shear pins if a submerged object is hit. Thus, if a problem does occur with the cylinder, the boat does not have to be hauled out for cylinder changes. Stainless steel springs retract the cylinder when the boat is not in motion. Improved barb type connections eliminate hoses from blowing off – the harder you pull, the tighter they hold.
