THE C-20 IS DESIGNED TO OPERATE ONLY ONE DE-ICER AT A TIME
The C-20 runs a de-icer on time and air temperature together. The de-icer is energized only when both the timer and the thermostat are calling, so the unit runs during the hours you choose and only when it is cold enough to need it. An indicator light shows when the outlet is live, and an AUTO/ON switch lets you bypass the timer and run on temperature alone.
Mount it upright on a vertical surface at least 5 ft back from open water, out of direct sunlight, near a GFCI-protected 120V outlet. Fewer, longer run cycles de-ice more effectively than short frequent ones.
